Our paths to this work were not identical, but they continued to converge. As two therapists with deep roots in the psychedelic space, we found ourselves returning to the same questions, encountering similar thresholds, and, ultimately, finding one another. What began as parallel journeys evolved into an ongoing dialogue—and from that, this community was born.
Through our work together, we were reminded of something the medicine itself continually points to: this work is not meant to be done alone. Psychedelic experiences have long been held within relationship—in ritual, in witnessing, and in the presence of others willing to be moved. Yet much of modern life pulls us in the opposite direction, toward isolation, fragmentation, and the quiet experience of feeling unseen.
We set out to create something different. This community is grounded in the belief that healing happens in connection—that the openness and vulnerability made possible through this work are not diminished, but deepened, when held within a thoughtfully cultivated group. There is something profoundly meaningful about being witnessed in moments of openness, and about witnessing others in theirs.
We also recognize that individual psychedelic therapy is not accessible to everyone. This matters to us. Our group offering is not a secondary option—it is a distinct and intentional therapeutic approach. Each aspect of the program is carefully designed, and every session is held with the same level of care, intention, and clinical integrity that we bring to individual work.
Our work is guided by the values we return to again and again: integrity, compassion, curiosity, openness, intentionality, and connection.
This is the work we believe in. We’re glad you found your way here.
Our story & Philosophy
Guiding Principles
Trauma-Informed Care
Every aspect of Kindred—from intake through integration—is thoughtfully designed with an understanding of how trauma is held in the body and shaped within relationships. Safety, consent, and pacing are at the heart of the container we create.
Group as Medicine
We view the group itself as a therapeutic agent. The connections formed within a cohort are not incidental—they are intentionally cultivated and thoughtfully supported.
Preparation, Experience, Integration
Ketamine is a catalyst, not a cure. Lasting change is shaped by what happens before and after each medicine session. We invest deeply in all three phases of the process.
Evidence-Informed Practice
Our program is grounded in peer-reviewed research in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches. We remain committed to learning, adapting, and contributing to the evolving evidence base for this work.
Inclusivity & Safety
At Kindred, we are committed to creating a therapeutic space where all people feel welcomed, respected, and supported in their healing. We honour the inherent dignity and complexity of every individual and welcome people of all identities, bodies, and lived experiences—including race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, relationship structures, age, ability, neurodivergence, body size, spirituality, socioeconomic background, and immigration status.
Our work in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) and other altered-state approaches requires a deep commitment to safety, trust, and ethical care. We recognize that these modalities can be especially vulnerable spaces, where power, identity, and past experiences of harm may become more present. We approach this work through a trauma-informed, consent-based lens, with careful attention to pacing, preparation, and integration.
We are committed to ongoing reflection, education, and accountability in how we hold this work, and in how we strive to make our services more accessible, culturally responsive, and attuned to the diverse realities of the communities we serve.
At Kindred Collective, we practice & prioritize:
Cultural Humility: We do not assume your identity, your beliefs, or what healing should look like for you. Instead, we listen closely, collaborate openly, and adapt our approach in alignment with your needs, values, and boundaries.
Consent and Transparency at every stage of care: covering the risks & benefits, scope of practice, the legal and medical frameworks that govern this work.
Creating a space where you can feel safe enough to explore, supported in your full humanity, and empowered in healing at your own pace.
Inclusivity and safety are not just static commitments, they are ongoing practices. We welcome feedback, remain open to learning, and are dedicated to evolving in ways that better serve our community.
